For this purpose, we exposed one-day-old Daphnia magna for 24 hours to six nationwide consumed detergents, comprising of two dishwasher detergents, three washing-powders (one for handwash and two for washing-machines) and one shampoo. The result of our study revealed that the dishwasher detergents had the greatest impact on the Daphnia magna mortality. One of these detergents containing 17% Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate, 5% Deethanolamine and 2% Lauric acid Ethanolamid was the most lethal detergent in this study. The permissible concentration and the EC50 of this dishwasher detergent is 4.7 mg/1 and 7.5 mg/1, respectively. Studies in 1993 indicated that the concentration of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate in some part of Anzali Lagoon had been 8.9 mg/1, which is above the permissible level. Fingerlings of milkfish were caught from Shoor River (30km east of Bandar Abbas) with surrounding net (25m long, 2m high) and transported to concrete tanks. Three concrete tanks were used for culturing and 100 milkfish fingerlings were stocked in each of them. They were fed with commercial carp food pellet at a rate of %3-5 of their body weight. Temperature and salinity were measured daily. Growth was measured monthly. Results revealed that the growth of milkfish was stopped during the cold season. Mean body weight was about 130 gr after 11 months. During the breeding season 544 female and 611 male of grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp were breeded using one or two injections of LRH-A, HCG and PG hormones. The eggs released by using the this semi-natural method were 6% higher in grass carp, 37.72% higher in silver carp and 16.7% higher in bighead carp, compared to the artificial method. The mortality rate of grass carp and silver carp female brooders were 3.34%, 45.19% respectively. This can be attributed to the applied "Chinese method", which prevent the brooders from getting injured. The Chinese method was employed a few hours after the fertilization and the number of the fully swollen eggs in grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp were respectively 25%, 17% and 12% higher. Over 30 zooplankton species belonging to five phyllums were identified, among which the biomass and the species composition of Copepoda were estimated. Copepods constituted nearlly 70% of the zooplankton populations during the spring, followed by the Rotifers, which comprised almost 13.5% of the total biomass. An indirect ELISA was employed to examine the serum. Using soluble antigen (SA) indicated that 54% of the examined blood samples contained antibodies against Vibrio anguillarum, while by using whole cell antigen (WCB) only 53% of samples were found to be seriopositive. The highest seriopositivity rate (83%) was observed in farm #2, where clinical signs of vibriosis also occurred. This study revealed that Rainbow trouts fed on raw marine fish meal powder are more exposed to V. anguillarum. Many factors such as marine constructions, removing sand and fine sand and pollution have reduced the productivity of the river, which have caused a decline in the migration of the. fishes to the river. Our study revealed that, despite the environmental pressure on the river, some fishes still migrate to the Sefidrud river. Besides sturgeon, bony fishes, which are highly valued at the market also migrate to the Sefidrud river. The spawning of kutum in the Sefidrud river peaked in the second half of March, when water temperature reached 11°C.
